Mediterranean cooking classes
An all-in holidays arrangement which focusses on gourmet food from the Mediterranean.
The workshop is given by the Amsterdam chef Relinde Fontaine one of the founders of the well-known restaurant ‘De Hemelse Modder’in Amsterdam.
We focus on enjoyment and relaxation. We welcome our guests to the culinary culture of Greece and thother countries around the Mediterranean.

"Nowadays you don't often see many of the classic elaborate dishes in Greek restaurants any longer.
In the years we lived in Greece we savoured the diversity of the Greek cuisine, especially when dining with friends. Many of these dishes we have learned to prepare and would like to share this experience with our guests".
We stay at a beautifully situated hotel on the outskirts of the sea-side village of Kantia. The hotel is located directly on the wide beach and all rooms are fitted with private bathroom, kichen, AC/TV and balcony with sea-view.
In the mornings we serve a buffet breakfast. After that we start making preprations for the evening meal or we do some shopping.
The cooking classes start at the end of in the afternoon. When all is ready, we enjoy the results of tis self prepared 3-course dinner. And as the Greeks do, we take our time to dine and enjoy a good glass of wine.
Workshop
The participants can accompany us to the market and shop for fresh local products, or they can help with the preparations for the eveningmeal.
We prefer to use as many local and biological products as possible. After siesta-time the students work in small groups at the preparations for dinner. Our chef prepares a 3-course meal consisting of mediterranean dishes from a.o. Marocco, Italy, France, Lebanon and of course Greece.
Excursions
There is also an excurion day included in the program. We visit a winery in Nemea, one of the most known wine areas in Greece.
During the excursion, you can get a good impression of the province of Argolida and the fruit and vegetables it produces.
Later in the afternoon we visit the town of Nauplion, one of the most beautiful towns of the mainland. We will then enjoy a drink in a spectacular spot, after which there is enough time to wander through this charming harbourtown with its many shops and galleries, taverns and terraces. The narrow streets with colorful bougainvilles are unforgetable...
Later on we meet again to dine together in one of the local taverns

- Dag 6 - Day off / possibility to participate on a boat tip to the islands of Hydra and Spetses.
